WELCOME to the Holy Faith Network Ireland website |
I have much pleasure in welcoming you to this Irish regional website for the Holy Faith Network. While we already have an international Holy Faith website at www.holyfaithsisters.net, it is hoped that this new venture will strengthen the Associate and Prayer Associate branches here in Ireland, and give them an opportunity to share more easily and have news of events more rapidly.

As we also have associates in Trinidad, the U.S. and Australia/New Zealand, it is hoped that in time all Holy Faith associates and prayer associates will have the opportunity to be more aware of each other's activities.

Many visiting this website will know us already ... some of you will be meeting us for the first time. You are all most welcome and thank you for visiting our website and we hope you enjoy learning about our Holy Faith spirit and heritage.

| Our Holy Faith Network Mission |
| Our Core Purpose |
We use our energies and resources to develop and support ministries and activities that make Faith relevant in the contemporary world by providing meaningful opportunities for people to connect Faith and Life and deepen the spiritual dimension and quality of their lives. |
| Our deeper Purpose in the World |
In the spirit of Margaret Aylward we are inspired to live Gospel values in our time to help create a just world in which people are attuned to God's presence and to the sacred interconnectedness of all creation. |

Introducing Ourselves The Holy Faith Network consists of the Holy Faith Sisters, Holy Faith Associates, our Prayer Associates, colleagues, past-pupils, family and friends. The bond which unites us is the inspiration of the vision and charism of Margaret Aylward, foundress of the Holy Faith Congregation.
Holy Faith Sisters Margaret Aylward, a Waterford woman, founded the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Faith in the 1850s in post-Famine Ireland. The mission of the congregation finds expression in active compassion for the poor, especially for children in danger of loss of faith. Ministries at home and abroad are now very diversified but all are inspired by the desire to "proclaim the love and truth of Jesus to and with the people of our day."
Holy Faith Prayer Associates The Holy Faith Prayer Associates in Ireland were established in 1989 from among the relatives, friends, past-pupils and colleagues of the sisters. They remember the sisters and their ministries in prayer.
All Holy Faith communities too commit themselves to pray for the intentions of the Prayer Associates.
Holy Faith Associates The inspiration to form the Holy Faith Associates in 1992 came from a deeper awareness of our common call, common mission and our responsibility to work and grow together in faith.
Associates meet together several times a year for prayer, spiritual input, sharing and support and attend many Holy Faith events with the sisters.
Holy Faith Past Pupils The Holy Faith Past Pupils' Union was founded in 1934, its purpose being to bring together past-pupils of all Holy Faith Schools to foster a spirit of friendship and loyalty among them, to support the work of Catholic education and other Holy Faith ministries and to keep in touch with their former teachers.
The Union have varied events during the year including a retreat, celebration dinners and socials, golf classic, fund-raiser table quiz for the Pearse Square Life Centre, annual Mass for deceased members and AGM.
